ecostore has met growing demand by launching a range of its bathroom products in a new amenities collection for hotel and B&B guests.
The products are made with gentle, plant-based ingredients that cleanse, nourish and protect without stripping the skin’s natural protective oils.
“At ecostore, if there is any doubt about an ingredient for people’s health, or for the environment, even if it’s plant-based, we will find a safer alternative,” says ecostore co-founder and CEO Malcolm Rands. “We hope these small versions of our toiletries will make people love their holiday accommodation even more.”
The range has been launched in partnership with Health Pak. Jimi Kennedy-Grant says there are strong synergies between Health Pak and ecostore when it comes to leadership in sustainability.
“Health Pak has been at the forefront to making our products as environmentally friendly as possible, long before it was popular or even a widely raised issue. We also lead the way with our degradable packaging and soap recycling programmes so it really is a natural fit for us to be working with ecostore with their no nasty chemicals policy and 100% recyclable packaging using renewable sugarcane-based plastic.”
Kennedy-Grant is noticing big demand in the hospitality industry for safer and more environmentally friendly products.
“Largely driven by customer demand, we are seeing more and more requests for products that are not only good for the environment, but good for us. We are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer our hospitality partners an ecostore bathroom amenity range. I’m confident it’s going to be hugely popular.”
LEADERS IN SUSTAINABILITY AND INNOVATION
ecostore has been voted by kiwis as leading the way in sustainability in Colmar Brunton’s Better Business, Better World survey for three years running. Last year, ecostore won two awards at the NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards, the Mega Efficiency Innovation category and co-founder Malcolm Rands was the joint winner of the Sustainability Champion award. Rands more recently won the Ministry for the Environment’s prestigious Green Ribbon Business Leadership Award, an acknowledgement of ecostore’s new Carbon Capture™ Paks – plastic bottles made from renewable sugarcane that are recyclable and help to lower your carbon foot print.
Safer for you, your family and the planet ecostore manufactures its products at its ISO 14001, Enviro-Mark Diamond, CarboNZero certified facility in Auckland. These certifications are ecostore’s guarantee that their products are made with respect and care for our environment.
The jury’s still out on the safety of chemicals like triclosan, parabens, SLS and CAPB which are used in many everyday household products. Rather than wait for conclusive scientific proof that such chemicals could harm us, (by which time it’ll be too late anyway) ecostore uses the precautionary principle.
The packaging features distinctive artwork by John Reynolds, one of New Zealand’s most internationally renowned artists whose work has featured in many public art collections. “Reynolds’ less is more philosophy on art reflects the elegance of our formulations. We follow the Einstein principle that the most elegant solution is often the most simple. The products will truly add of sophistication to any ensuite,” says Rands. Our new amenities range is made with gentle plant-based ingredients that cleanse, nourish and protect, without stripping your skin’s natural protective oils. There’s only good stuff inside.
